New Family Pictures

A few weekends ago, we had new family pictures taken again by our wonderful photographer, Ashley Ernstberger. It was time. We have no printed pictures of Georgia in our house...I guess that's what happens when you have a baby in the digital age. This time we chose West Park in Carmel for our photo shoot. Once again, it was a chilly day, but the kids cooperated so I call it a success. Now I'm in love with these pictures and can't wait to cover the walls of our house with them. Here's my sweet family...

These two love. each. other.

Easter 2014

Last weekend, we headed up to South Bend to celebrate Oliver's birthday and Easter with our family. We had a great time catching up with everyone. Easter with Don's family is always a good time. It's held in the cafeteria and gym of the elementary school Don attended. There's always a ton of food, fellowship, a pinata and an Easter egg hunt. Such great traditions that I'm so glad to have with the kiddos. Of course, Oliver thought this was yet another birthday party for him so we had to explain what Easter was all about! :-)

Oliver Thomas is 3!

Oliver Thomas is 3 years old! Where does the time go? Here's what he's up to these days...

Weight: 32 lbs.
Height: 38 inches

Favorite Food: donuts, cereal bars, pancakes, waffles, spaghetti, pizza
Favorite Color: blue
Favorite Toys: cars and trucks
Favorite Movie: Cars
Favorite Activities: bike riding, playing outside with his Mater toy, swimming, doing puzzles

Things Oliver Can Do: count to 13 (it gets a little wonky after 13!), knows all colors, knows some shapes, recognizes some letters in his name, has an unbelievable vocabulary

Last week, we celebrated Oliver's birthday with all his favorite things...donuts for breakfast, a trip to the Children's Museum, pancakes and sausage for dinner and a bike ride to Huddles for ice cream. We had such a fun day!

Donuts from Taylor's Bakery...yum!

PBJs at the Museum for lunch

Digging for dinosaur fossils

Riding the carousel

Of course, he loved this display of old vehicles!

Climbing!

Playing in the sand

Sitting in the Indy car...he did NOT want to get out!

Cookies and cream ice cream with crushed Oreos!

Heading home after a FUN day!
Oliver is such a joy to us. He has grown up so much this past year...it's amazing! He is so incredibly smart, sweet and says the funniest things. He is our little social butterfly...he's never met a stranger. He talks to everyone and everyone just loves him. He makes us smile and laugh so much. Georgia is just intrigued by him...he's been so good to her and loves her so much. Oliver most definitely has an independent and stubborn spirit and is very particular about things. We can't wait to see what awesome things he accomplishes in life. We love you, monkey! Happy 3rd birthday!

Oliver's Birthday Party - Take 2

Last weekend, we headed up to South Bend to celebrate Oliver's birthday party with family, as well as celebrate Easter. We had a great time! By Easter Sunday, Oliver pretty much thought every day was going to involve a party for him...ha!

He was more interested in playing with the cars on top :-)

Oliver's Birthday Party - Take 1

This past weekend, we celebrated Oliver's 3rd birthday with the first of two birthday parties. This one was held at our house with all his friends...the next party will be in South Bend with our families over Easter weekend.

Oliver is currently obsessed with all things transportation so that was the theme of his birthday party. He had fun helping me decorate the tables with just a few of the millions of cars, trucks, buses, planes, etc. that he has! We totally lucked out with the weather. It was absolutely gorgeous and warm outside so we moved the festivities outdoors. All the kids had fun playing with Oliver's ride-on toys outside. It was a great celebration for my big 3 year old! How did that happen?!?

Food table
Guest book (a Mater book, of course!) and party favors (chocolate covered pretzels that look like stoplights)
Oliver hand-picked every vehicle that was used as decorations :)
Stoplight cupcakes
He's 3...what can I say?

Daddy and his girl
Oliver had so much fun opening all of his cool gifts!
He had lots of little helpers!
He didn't understand why he couldn't stop and play with every toy after he opened it. Very confusing...ha!
Stickers!
Of course, he was gifted plenty of new vehicles to add to his collection!
And then came the big present...a new bike from Nini and Pawpaw! He couldn't be more thrilled!
Chocolate cupcakes...yum!
