Georgia-Labor Day Weekend

Over Labor Day weekend, we packed up the car and headed to Georgia to visit my family. It was Oliver's first long car trip, and what an interesting trip it was! Once we finally made it, we did a lot of relaxing and swimming. Oliver absolutely loves the water!

My sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew also came from California for the weekend. Amy brought Oliver a couple of cute gifts like this hat. Here he is showing it off with his Uncle Noah...

We also ended up starting him on fruits and veggies while we were there because he was acting like we never feed him...ha!

On Sunday night, we headed to an Augusta Greenjackets baseball game.

We left a little early and ended up catching a foul ball in the parking lot!

My family even threw me a surprise early birthday party, complete with cake balls! And just in case you're wondering, I turned 29, not 119 :)

We had such a fantastic weekend with my family! We definitely don't get together often enough!

Friday Family Fun Nights

The Kaczorowski's have begun a new tradition - Friday Family Fun Night. Each Friday, we choose a restaurant we've never been to...usually it's one that is a bit of a drive from our house and has been featured on the Food Network or various foodie websites/blogs we frequent. Then, Don and I spend the evening enjoying delicious food and great company, and Oliver spends the evening sleeping in his carseat. It's a win-win for everyone!

So far, we've eaten at City Barbecue in Greenwood, Frosty Boy Drive In in New Palestine, Jonathan Byrd's in Greenwood and Gray Bros. Cafeteria in Mooresville. I'm hoping to begin blogging weekly about our FFFNs next week. In the meantime, if you get a chance to try any of these restaurants, you won't be disappointed!

6 Years

Don and I celebrated 6 years of marriage this past Saturday. Thanks to a dear friend of mine who watched Oliver, we got to go out for a nice, quiet dinner at Ruth's Chris.



Here's to many more years of happiness!

Family Reunion

Over Memorial Day weekend, the Flournoy side of the family all got together in Muncie to celebrate my grandma's 80th birthday. It was so nice to see everyone, particularly relatives that traveled long distances to be there. It was also the first time a lot of my family had met Oliver.

A Hoosier Update

Hoosier's world has been rocked in the past month, but he seems to be dealing with it just fine. When he needs a break, he just goes and hides in the boxwood shrub in the backyard!

Oliver Thomas...born Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 9:54 pm. He weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 1/4 inches long.



Don and I couldn't be happier about or more proud of the arrival of our first son.
