Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!

That's right...Don and I spent Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway cheering on Helio and Danica in the Indy 500. It was Don's first time at the track (I've been oodles of times and surprisingly, know a lot about Indy Racing), and we had so much fun. Of course, I am elated that my favorite driver, Helio Castroneves (Don will tell you that I am an actual pre-Dancing with the Stars fan), took home the Borg-Warner trophy. In addition, Danica Patrick (another one of my favs) placed 3rd, the best ever for a female!

There goes Helio...he's about to make a comeback!

We had great seats right on Turn 4. Tony Kanaan ended up right in front of us after his crash, and wouldn't you know, I was in a 20 minute line to use the restroom. I am not at all a TK fan, but I still don't like to see people crash. At least Don got some great pictures for me.

So, who's it going to be next year? I know I can't wait!

Graduation!

I'm back! I know, I know...I took a bit of a hiatus. You have no idea how busy things have been around here, but I'm back now and wouldn't you know it, my first post back isn't even about the house. My friend, Lindsay, is going to kill me when she sees me next. She's been threatening my life if I don't post new pics of the house. Well, Linds, guess you'll just have to come over for a visit.

Anyways, this past weekend, I graduated from IUPUI with my master's...well, sort of...I have 2 more classes to finish, but that's beside the point. Anyways, the ceremony was nice and short, and afterwards, we had a graduation/housewarming party. It was fantastic to have so many friends and family stop by, especially since it was Mother's Day and so many of our family members had to make quite the trip to get here! Thanks to all of you who came! It was lovely to be surrounded by so many loved ones. Here come the pictures...

My dad, stepmom Penny and brothers Noah (R) and Brock (L) came all the way from Georgia! It was so awesome to see them and have them see the house! Dad, do you feel better now about your little girl buying a house?

Don's parents (along with a bunch of his other family members) also made the trip down from South Bend.


Overall, it was a terrific weekend! Now Linds, the house pictures are coming soon!

We're In!

So sorry it's been so long since my last post!! Things have been SO busy. We have officially moved in and most of our stuff is unpacked. We are now just trying to arrange everything where we want it. I will post pictures as soon as everything is arranged...don't want you all to see rooms full of boxes!
