Las Vegas Trip-Part I

We're back! This will be the first of many posts showcasing our trip to Vegas for my brother-in-law's wedding. We had such a great time and the weather was so much warmer than here at home!

We arrived in the middle of the night so the next morning we slept in and then took off to explore the hotel and make the first of many walks up and down the Strip.

We stayed at the Flamingo. We've stayed here before and really like it. Here is the view from our hotel room (notice the mountains in the background...lovely)...

Another view from our window (sorry about the reflection in the glass)...

And another...

Later, we walked around the beautiful gardens at our hotel. Yes, these are real flamingos. Apparently, they were all tired like us...

There are also ponds with all sorts of fish and other aquatic creatures like this turtle...

A beautiful fountain in the gardens...

There are waterfalls all over the place...love it!

We had to visit the Wynn because it had not yet opened the last time we were in Vegas. It. Is. Amazing.

Here is a view of the ceiling inside the Wynn. So beautiful and colorful!

In the foreground is a nice little restaurant, in the background is a waterfall...it was very cool!

The grounds of this hotel were amazing...

They also had a waterfall...it was just a tad bit bigger than the ones at the Flamingo.
