Las Vegas Trip-Part II

Here goes Part II...The first day, we walked up and down the Strip. Here's a shot of the Strip, looking toward the Stratosphere and downtown Las Vegas.



This is the other direction, toward Paris Las Vegas (great hotel to stay at also).

The Eiffel Tower...it's a great view from the top.

Later that afternoon, we walked through the Bellagio, home to my absolute favorite part of Vegas (yes, this makes me a gigantic dork).

This is the ceiling of the hotel's lobby...that's Chihuly glass. It is absolutely magnificent (and this picture does it no justice). If you're familiar with the tower of glass at the Indianapolis Children's Museum, this is the same artist...Dale Chihuly.

Then, we moved on to my next favorite part of Vegas...the Bellagio's Conservatory. It is a huge area of beautiful flowers, trees, etc. There was a Chinese theme going in the gardens while we were there.

There are beautiful flowers everywhere...

I just love this little red bridge...

and the bamboo and panda bear...

and the little red lanterns...

There were gigantic rocks with flowers growing out of them...

and a hidden gazebo and bench.

I know this is not what most people go to Vegas to see, but I LOVE it! You'll get to see more of the "real" Las Vegas coming up next...
